We invite you to join us on Friday October 20th at 1:30 for our inaugural meeting of the Mobilities and Migrations: 19th Century and Beyond Seminar. Nathan Hensley from Georgetown U will talk about his recent book, Forms of Empire, emphasizing along the way some of his archival discoveries and how that work migrated into the project. The talk is titled “‘The mystery of the cruelty of things’: On Forms of Empire.” This first meeting will be held in the Conference Room on the first floor of the Honors Building at 714 21st Street. If you don’t mind a late lunch, we can provide it!
Please RSVP to secure your seat and lunch.
